Privacy policy

What we collect
- Your account: your email address, and your Google account ID if you sign in with Google. No password is stored. You can also use the site without signing in; a random account is then kept in a cookie on this browser.
- Your photo, shrunk in your browser to at most 600 pixels on its longest side before it is sent, to make your preview and pattern.
- Your patterns, so you can download them again from My patterns.
- Credits and payments: credit movements, what you bought and the amounts. Card details go to Stripe, our payment processor, never to us.
- Basic usage data: pages viewed, the buttons you used, the site that referred you, your language, device type, country (estimated from your IP address) and a random visitor ID stored in your browser. Your IP address is stored only in a one-way hashed form, to limit abuse.
Who processes it
- Cloudflare hosts the site, the database and the files. Patterns are made on our own servers; no AI provider receives your photo.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Brevo sends the sign-in codes you ask for by email.
- Microsoft Clarity records how visitors use our public pages as session replays and heatmaps. Text typed into forms is masked. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
We don't sell your data and don't send marketing emails.
How long we keep it
Photos are deleted automatically: 2 days after upload if you never made a pattern with them, otherwise 30 days after upload. Patterns stay in My patterns until you delete them. You can delete all your photos and patterns, or your whole account, from My patterns at any time. Payment records are kept as required for tax and accounting.
Cookies and browser storage
One sign-in cookie, no advertising cookies. A random visitor ID and your light or dark choice are kept in your browser's local storage.
Your data rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or object to usage statistics. Most of it you can do yourself in My patterns; for anything else email support@photopatternmaker.com. We reply within 30 days.
Children
The service is not for children under 13.
